Ingredients: 1/2 cup tamarind paste 3 tablespoon jaggery powder 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder 1 teaspoon fennel powder 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder Salt or black salt, to taste 1/2 teaspoon ginger juice
Method: 1. Roast fennel, cumin and coriander in a pan for about 1 minute. Keep these spices aside. 2. Heat 2 cup water in a pan and add tamarind and jaggery to it. Let it boil for 5 minutes. 3. Add roasted spices, red chilli, ginger juice and salt. Boil for another 2-3 minutes. 4. Remove from heat and let it cool down. 5. Store in an air-tight dry jar and refrigerate 6. Serve with various chaats like samosa, golgappe, dahi bhalle, dahi vada and pakora.
