Rava Upma Recipe:
Rava Upma Recipe is a delicious, mouth-watering upma, packed with aromatic spices and herbs. This easy and special south Indian snack made out of suji or rava will get you hooked.
Rava Upma Recipe is an easy and healthy breakfast recipe. Suji ka upma is an all time favourite and can be eaten in any meal. It is quite filling!
Ingredients:
1cup semolina (sooji)
1 medium size onion
2 green chilli
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 inch ginger
1 tablespoon chana dal
10 curry leaves
1 tablespoon urad dal (white)
4 cashews cut into half
1 tablespoon mustard seeds
Salt to taste
1 tablespoon mustard oil
One teaspoon red chilli
1 teaspoon dried mango powder (amchur)
One teaspoon coriander powder
Method:
1. Roast cashews on low heat in a cooking pan. Remove and keep to a side.
2. Heat oil in the cooking pan on the low heat.
3. Add mustard seeds and curry leaves
4. Add chana dal and moong dal. Stir it until dals are slight brown in color.
5. Add grated ginger, finely chopped onion and finely chopped green chillies. Stir till onion turns light brown in color.
6. Add salt, red chilli, amchur and coriander powder.
7. Add semolina and stir it for 4-5 minutes.
8. Add lemon juice to half cup water and pour it to the pan slowly while stirring well.
9. Garnish two scoops of upma in the plate with green coriander leaves and roasted cashews
