Mushroom Sauce Recipe is a nutritious, healthy, and a low carb recipe. It is very simple to cook and makes a great healthy side dish that is delicious, tasty, and full of flavor.
1/4 cup or 25 gm vegan butter
4 mushrooms, finely chopped
1 large shallot, finely chopped or finely chopped onion
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
4 cup mushroom or vegetable broth
2 sprigs fresh rosemary
1 tablespoon soy sauce
A pinch of freshly grated nutmeg
Heat vegan butter in a large pan on medium flame. Add mushrooms and shallot/onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and tender, maybe 10 minutes or lesser.
Sprinkle flour on top and cook, stirring, until golden brown, for 5 minutes.
Slowly put the broth, add rosemary and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until thickened, less than 15 minutes.
Put soy sauce, nutmeg, and 1/2 teaspoon pepper and cook for 1 minute. Strain just before serving.
