Jeera Aloo Recipe
Jeera Aloo Recipe is a North Indian vegetarian main course to be served with Indian breads. Orinary ingredients, minimal time, and reasonable effort is all it takes to make this aromatic dish. Enjoy this Navratri special hot and fresh dish, without any onions, ginger, garlic and milk products.
Jeera aloo recipe is a cumin potato recipe in which you could either use boiled potatoes or fry without boiling the potatoes. Do send your own masterpieces of potatoes.
Ingredients:
4 boiled potatoes, chopped
Four green chillies (to taste), finely chopped
4 leaves of green coriander
1 tablespoon mustard oil
1 tablespoon cumin seeds
1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
1 teaspoon dried mango powder (amchur)
1 teaspoon coriander powder
Salt to taste
Method:
1. Heat oil in a pan.
2. Add cumin and let it cook for 1 minute.
3. Add red chilli, mango powder, coriander powder and salt.
4. Crush potatoes coarsely and add to the pan
5. Mix well and let it cook for 2-3 minutes
6. Put some of the Cumin Aloo to a serving bowl.
7. Garnish it with green chillies and fresh coriander
8. Serve with Indian breads and salads.
