The Day of the Balearic Islands (Día de les Illes Balears) is a local public holiday on the Balearic Islands, which are part of Spain, on March 1 each year. It is marked by a public holiday to commemorate the signing of the Statute of Autonomy on March 1st, 1983 which granted autonomous status to the islands.
Women’s History Month is an annual declared month that highlights the contributions of women to events in history and contemporary society. It is celebrated during March in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia, corresponding with International Women’s Day on March 8, and during October in Canada, corresponding with the celebration of Persons Day on October 18.
South Korea Independence Movement Day is a national holiday in South Korea. Also known as March 1st Movement Day, Independence Movement Day is a public holiday in South Korea. It is always celebrated on March 1st. March 1st Movement, a mass demonstration of Korean resistance against Japanese colonial rule. The movement began on March 1, 1919 with a reading of Korea’s “Proclamation of Independence”; within a year, up to 2 million Koreans participated in protests around the country.
Saint David’s Day, or the Feast of Saint David, is the feast day of Saint David, the patron saint of Wales, and falls on 1 March, the date of Saint David’s death in 589 AD.
Switzerland Republic Day: Republic Day is a Swiss regional public holiday celebrated on 1st March each year in the canton of Neuchâtel. This holiday marks the date in 1848 when Neuchâtel became a republic within the Swiss Confederation.
The United States Asiatic Fleet was a fleet of the United States Navy during much of the first half of the 20th century. Before World War II, the fleet patrolled the Philippine Islands.

Casimir Pulaski Day is a legal holiday in Illinois, in the United States, on the first Monday of March. Casimir Pulaski is remembered in many ways. In Poland, he is remembered as a man who fought for freedom on two continents, and is given the title “Soldier of Liberty.” In the United States, numerous streets, bridges, counties, and towns are named for him in honor of his aid to American forces. He is praised for his contributions to the U.S. military in the American Revolution and known as “the father of the American cavalry”.
Endometriosis Awareness Day: Endometriosis awareness takes place across the globe during the month of March with a mission to raise awareness of a disease.

Each year on March 1st, National Fruit Compote Day presents a celebration filled with sweet berries, citrus, and stone fruits to delight the senses. The word compote is French for “mixture.”

Nuclear Free and Independent Pacific Day: March 1st is Nuclear Free and Independent Pacific Day (‘Bikini’ Day) which marks the anniversary of the US ‘Bravo’ nuclear bomb detonation at Bikini Atoll in 1954. The explosion gouged out a crater more than 200 feet deep and a mile across, melting huge quantities of coral which were sucked up into the atmosphere together with vast volumes of seawater. The resulting fallout caused widespread contamination in the Pacific.

American Citizenship Day is a public holiday in Puerto Rico on March 2nd each year. It commemorates the granting of U.S. Citizenship to Puerto Ricans on this day in 1917.
March 2 is National Read Across America Day, a day to celebrate our favorite activity. The day was established by the National Education Association (NEA) in 1998 to help get kids excited about reading. The day occurs each year on the birthday of beloved children’s book author Dr. Seuss.
Texas Independence Day is the celebration of the adoption of the Texas Declaration of Independence on March 2, 1836. With this document signed by 59 delegates, settlers in Mexican Texas officially declared independence from Mexico and created the Republic of Texas. It is an annual legal holiday in Texas, in the United States.

Vermont’s Town Meeting Day gives the state’s residents the chance to speak their minds in a public forum on the first Tuesday of March. Town Meeting Day marks Vermont’s admission to the US in 1791. On this day most towns in Vermont elect their municipal officers, approve budgets, and deal with other civic issues in a day-long public meeting of the voters called a Town Meeting.
The sessions will be held on March 2, 2021, which is World Teen Mental Wellness Day. This annual event was founded by Hollister in 2020 in partnership with the National Day Calendar and aims to dismantle the stigma around teen mental health.

Dolls’ Festival/Girls’ Festival: Hinamatsuri, also called Doll’s Day or Girls’ Day, is a special day in Japan. 33 Flavors Day is dedicated to ice cream! Some sources say that the holiday takes place on the anniversary of the opening of the ice cream shop, Baskin Robbins. Baskin Robbins is known for its 31 flavors, not 33, so it is unclear why the day is called 33 Flavors Day.

Dentist Day: Any particular history is not defined for Dentist’s Day but it is said that presumably 6 March is chosen because in 1790, on this day an American dentist John Greenwood served as a personal dentist of George Washington’s who had invented the first known dental foot engine.

National Dentist’s Day is celebrated every year on March 6 in the United States. It is observed to create awareness on oral health among the public, educates them about the importance of oral health and the role of a dentist to keep their oral health well and express gratitude to the doctors who help you to keep your teeth healthy.
