Ingredients: 500 grams bite-size boneless chicken ½ cup curd 1 large onion 2 large tomatoes One tablespoon ginger paste 1 tablespoon garlic paste 2 tablespoon oil 1 teaspoon turmeric powder One teaspoon coriander powder 1 teaspoon garam masala One teaspoon asafetida 1 teaspoon red chillies (to taste) One teaspoon black pepper powder 4 green chillies (to taste) 1 tablespoon lemon juice 4 leaves of green coriander Salt to taste
Method: 1. Grind to make paste of onion. Also turn tomatoes into paste. 2. Take a pressure cooker, and heat oil in it. 3. Add asafetida, turmeric powder, ginger and garlic paste and cook for a minute 4. Cook onion in it for 5 minutes. Keep stirring. 5. Add tomatoes and cook them for 4-5 minutes. 6. Add coriander powder, red chillies, salt, pepper, garam masala and about 1/2 cup water. 7. Cook for about 2 minutes till it takes form of a paste. 8. Add chicken, mix and cook for 2-4 minutes. 9. Add whisked curd, lemon juice and 2 green chillies (cut or uncut according to taste). 10. Mix well, put the lid and let it cook for 5-7 minutes. 11. Check water consistency in the cooker. Add more water if needed. 12. Close the lid of the pressure cooker and let it whistle for 4-5 times 13. On cooling open the pressure cooker and check the salt etc to the taste. 14. Pour some chicken to a serving bowl. 15. Garnish with green chillies and green coriander leaves. 16. Serve with Indian breads and salads.
