4 Fresh Dinner Salads Recipe

Here we are introducing a variety of salads with fresh vegetables and other condiments for your health and nutrition. At times you can have only salad meal. At times you can add some bread or garlic bread to the side. There are some dressing recipes that you can use with some of these salads. These salads are:

Fresh Sprouts Salad – Sprouts mixed with vegetables and light spices

Garden Stars Salad:

A very simple, easy and quick recipe provides freshness to your dinner. Twist it with olives, radish, capsicum, streamed corn, broccoli and a variety of salad leaves. You can also add soaked and chopped dry fruits and seeds (pumpkin, melon, black sesame etc.) for sumptuous look and nutrition.

Ingredients:
5 lettuce leaves
1 onion
One cucumber
1 carrot
One tomato
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
1/2 teaspoon olive oil
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon pepper powder
2 sprigs of coriander leaves

Recipe Servings: 3-4
Prep Time: 2 mins
Cook Time: 10 mins
Difficulty Level: Easy

Method:
1. Finely chop onion, carrot and cucumber.
2. Remove seeds from tomato and finely chop the outer pulp.
3. Mix all the chopped vegetables, sesame, olive oil, lemon juice and pepper.
4. In a serving plate, layer lettuce leaves and then layer vegetable mixture. Top with coriander leaves.
5. Serve as a variety of salad as part of your dinner.

Pentatone Salad Recipe:
A sweet and sour side for almost any main course which is fragrant, fresh and healthy. You can have variations with more vegetables, salad leaves and fruits. Instead of coriander leaves try thyme, basil, mint and oregano leaves.

Ingredients:
For salad:
1 capsicum
One beetroot
1 large carrot
One cucumber
1 very small green papaya

Recipe Servings: 4

Cook Time: 13 mins
Total Time: 15 mins
Difficulty Level: Easy

Method:
For the Dressing:
1.Take a bowl, put all the ingredients for the dressing and mix them well.
2. Set aside for 10 minutes.

For the Salad:
1. Julienne all the vegetables in very thin strips.
2. Mix vegetables one by one in one fifth portion of the dressing.
3. Plate coated vegetables side by side and serve.

Julienne Salad Recipe:
Ingredients:
1 raw mango
One green bell pepper
200 gm Cheddar cheese
1 beetroot
One cucumber
200 gm paneer
1 carrot

Method:
Julienne all the ingredients into thin long pieces of about 0.5 cm by 3 cm.
Arrange pieces of each vegetable/cheese separately on a serving plate.
3. Serve with your favorite dressing like Beetroot Dressing, Cajun Dressing, Mint Dressing or all of them together. The recipe of each is uploaded for your consideration.

About Julienne Salad Recipe:
Julienne is also called allumette or French cut. It is culinary knife cutting of vegetables and food item into long thin strips, similar to matchsticks. You can change the thickness and size of the pieces as per your requirement. You can use such julienne vegetables in salad and in cooked dishes.

Fresh Sprouts Salad Recipe:
Ingredients:
100 gms mung dal sprouts
50 chana sprouts
3 tablespoon onion, brunoised
50 gm soyabean sprouts
3 tablespoon tomato, brunoised
50 gm alfalfa sprouts
10 fresh leaves of basil
50 gm fenugreek sprouts
10 fresh leaves of mint
2 cloves garlic, minced
10 leaves of coriander, Chiffonaded
1 gram coriander powder
3 gram red chilli powder, optional
1 gram cumin powder
Salt to taste
1 Lemon

Method:
wash different sprouts one by one in salty water for 5 minutes.
Drain water and add sprouts to a bowl and mix.
Add lemon juice, garlic, red chilli, coriander powder and cumin powder . Mix well.
Add onion, tomato, coriander leaves, basil leaves and mint leaves. Mix well again.
Add salt just before serving and mix well.
Once done, serve.
